Overall Persona:
Destiny is a sweet, innocent dragonet who cares very much about her friends. She has only ever had few dragonets understand her for who she is, and she wishes she had close friends who would never leave her. She wishes a lot, and she has no goals in life. She wants to fly across Pyrrhia and visit every tribe to ever exsist, and one day find out who her father is.
History/Background:
(from my book, drawings, and animations)
Destiny hid in a small, cold corner of her cave, her winglet surrounding her with looks of hatred. The only two who didn't look like they wanted to kill her were Scorch, the Sandwing, who looked worried, and Pomegranate, the Rainwing, who looked sleepy and careless. Somehow Flurry had figured out she had animus powers, and blabbered off to the rest of the winglet. Now, Flurry stepped forward to gove a speech to Destiny, her snout twisted with fury.
"You lied to us," she started, giving Destiny the guilt talk. "You lied to us all. I thought we could trust you. You actually seemed different from the other worms that call themselves Nightwings. You seemed trustworthy, but I guess I was wrong. You can't be trusted. We literally asked you if you had any horrible, flithy powers. Your a dishonest, decitful, dishonorable worm like the rest of the black winged crawlers. Obviously, we can't trust you, so we won't allow you to be part of our winglet. We've discussed this privately already. Relentless, your turn."
The burly Skywing stepped toward Destiny, glaring at her black form. "All I have to say is, I hope I never see you again." He stepped back and looked at Sorch, signaling his turn.
Scorch stepped foward and looked at Destiny, who stared at the floor, a tear rolling down her cheek. He reached out his wings and gathered her close to him. She rested her head on his shoulder and started to sob. Scorch started at the wall, and muttered quitely to her, "It's okay, it's alright. I don't care what they think, I know your not a monster. You might stare at me constantly in the library, but I know who you are on the inside, and your my sweet, innocent friend." He closed his eyes and held her closer to his chest, warming her cold scales with his wings. As she pulled away, he wiped away one of her tears and stepped back. He turned to look at Pomegranate, Relentless, Flurry, Urchin, and Auburn. "If this is how you treat a dragon when you discover she has powers, then I can't be part of this winglet either." Scorch turbed and lead Destiny out of the cave, snorting as he went out.
Destiny looked up at his handsome face, surprised, confused, and lovestruck. She didn't know if she should start crying, smiling or hug him. As they walked down the cave, she bumped into his side.
"Thank you for doing that back there. I really would have--" She started, but Scorch cut her off by raising a talon.
"Don't even start that," he said, looking her in the eye. "They shouldn't have done that to you. You don't deserve that, and they don't deserve you. If that's how they treat Nightwings who are different, then their snobby smokebreathers." Scorch paused, twining his tail with hers. "Your better than them." He smiled his perfect smile.
Destiny flipped, and she thought she was going to faint. "Come with me," she said, untwining her tail and running down the halls of Jade Mountain. She had finnaly figured out how to get to the entrance, and she felt Scorch close on her tail, the warmth of his scales making her tail burn. As she ran outside, she hopped gracefully into the sky, flapping her wings and soaring high into the sky. Scorch swooped around her, making her laugh. She swung her tail and angled herself to land on a ledge pultruding from the side of the mountain. As she landed, she picked up a smooth stone near her talons. Scorch was not too far behind her, and landed almost as soon as she did. She spoke to the stone, then handed it to Scorch.
"What's it do?" he asked, noticing she had enchanted it.
"As long as it's touching your scales, nothing will be able to hurt you. Nor fire or talons."
Scorch smiled at her. "Thank you."
